FEAR FREE CERTIFIED PRACTITIONER

Claire was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. Packing only enough to fit in her VW Bug, she moved to Colorado and found “home” in 2006. The vibrant, close-knit and health conscious community was an easy “love at first sight” for her.

She is proud to have obtained an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology, and has over 10 wonderful years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician/Nurse (CVT).
Deepening the human-animal bond is profoundly important for Claire, and helps guide her in all that she does. Claire always knew she was drawn to a holistic way of life, even in veterinary medicine, and expanded her career by becoming proficient and certified in animal massage (ACMT) through Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure & Massage in 2015.

Claire believes strongly in the body's innate ability to heal itself, and is a strong believer in integrative medicine and wellness for animals. She is co-owner of the thriving animal massage and veterinary nurse practice, Peak Animal Wellness & Massage. Her specialties include working with senior dogs and cats, animals struggling with chronic soft tissue or orthopedic conditions, hospice and palliative care, as well as integrating her approach into wellness plans for young and active dogs. She works closely with veterinarians and other healers of the community, with the goal of a fully holistic approach for each animal she works with.
Claire is also a regular columnist in the popular veterinary magazine, Veterinary Practice News, and has a love for writing, learning, and teaching. She is so excited to be an instructor at the Colorado School of Animal Massage! She is constantly continuing her education and has recently become certified as a Fear Free Practitioner, placing an emphasis on her gentle approach with fearful and anxious animals.

It is Claire’s hope that the energy and knowledge she delivers both professionally and personally will help change the lives of all companion animals and pet parents in the surrounding Boulder area and beyond She believes that by empowering guardians with all the appropriate tools and guidance needed to become the best advocate for their pet, and by helping to create and maintain healthy human-animal bonds, we can collectively change the world.

When Claire isn't helping to care for the animals of the community, she is LOVING her time in Lyons, Colorado with her son, husband, 2 dogs, and cat! She enjoys cultivating relationships with like minded women, joining women’s circles as a safe container for personal exploration and continuing her own healing journey!

OUR SPECIALTIES

Vet Nurse services

We provide in-home vet nurse services that include bloodwork, fluid administration, nail trimming, and more.

Therapeutic Bodywork

Our therapeutic bodywork services help improve your pet's quality of life by helping to relieve pain and increase flexibility and motion.

My five year old Westie, Cricket, has been getting "almost weekly" massages with Peak Animal Wellness now for going on two years. Cricket has torn both her left and right hind limb CCL's and massage therapy has been an integral component to her healing. My experience with PAWM has been nothing but exceptional. Both are incredibly kind and gentle with their massage techniques, and are very aware of the nuances in Cricket’s musculature. I love the fact that I have a veterinary nurse in my home, giving my girl a therapeutic massage!"
